Entreprenuer Tackles Problem of Pocket Schmutz in Ear
NEWARK, N.J., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Pocket schmutz getting into his ear
each time he used his Bluetooth(R) headset was the problem ofNew Jersey
entrepreneur Jeffrey Gornstein who set out to do something about it.
Like so many others, Gornstein carries his headset in his pocket when not in
use. "Every time I went to make a call, whatever schmutz was in the bottom of
my pocket would end up inside my ear," he said.
For a while, Gornstein resorted to spitting on his earpiece to clean it off
figuring that was better then getting an earful of crud. He stopped when one
day an onlooker voiced their disgust.
Knowing a carrying case exists for every product imaginable, Gornstein went
from store to store to find one that would keep clean what he was sticking in
his ear each day. He had no trouble finding headset cases that clipped on a
belt but they were poorly suited for use in his pocket since the clip would get
caught on his wallet or the papers that were always stuffed inside it.
He then researched the Internet for the solutions of others with the same
problem and found they included such workarounds as lipstick cases, cough drop
boxes, and jewelry pouches. However, he came up empty handed in finding a case
specifically designed for storing a cell phone headset in a pocket.
To fill the niche, Gornstein designed his own Bluetooth headset carrying
case that he expects will become the next essential cell phone accessory. His
ears now stay clean and his leather case with fabric lined interior is available
for $19.95 in assorted colors at online retailer Comfort House
(www.comforthouse.com).
