Streamezzo Launches Everyworld With Neuf Cegetel
The Converged Services Technology for Transparent Access Across PC, Mobile and TV Devices Was Developed Using Streamezzo's Universal Software Platform
Paris, France, 24 April, 2008 - Streamezzo, creator of the Universal Software Platform that overcomes mobile industry fragmentation and powers the Mobile Internet, today announced that its Streamezzo Experience division has completed the design and development of the new Everyworld platform, which was launched today by Neuf Cegetel, a leading provider of broadband and mobile services in France. The Everyworld portal (www.everyworld.fr) offers seamless convergence and coherence across Internet, mobile phone, and TV services, providing a simple and efficient method of transferring services from PC to mobile phone. Now, Everywhere users can access their favorite services from any location.
With this new service, Neuf Cegetel is offering its customers the very best in mobility, allowing them to access their favorite services from their mobile phone just as easily as they can from their PC. Everyworld is available today for mobile phone and PC platforms, and will expand its reach to include television in the near future.
Streamezzo Experience, a division of Streamezzo focusing on the development of rich media applications, was assigned with the design and development of Web and mobile interfaces, as well as the administration of part of the infrastructure specific to the new service. This technological convergence means that users can simply "drag and drop" their favorite services, such as Dailymotion, EBay and Boursorama, to their mobile phones.
"Our aim is to transfer the comfort and simplicity of surfing the Net to mobile phones," explained Olivier Tronchon, Internet Mobile Marketing Director at Neuf Cegetel. "By adapting the interface and services to the type of connection available (GPRS or WiFi), we have developed technologies that will provide the best service to our users, regardless of their location. Our vision is for mobile phones, television, and a variety of other equipment to become suitable channels for digital media consumption."
"Streamezzo's client-server architecture is a great asset for this new service," said Pierre-Emmanuel Struyven, CEO of Streamezzo. "Everyworld is easy to use, which will enable mobile users, regardless of their ISP, to benefit from high-performance services with absolute transparency and without having to worry about any technological constraints. This is an important step in the development of mobile services."
