American Commercial Lines Names Senior Vice President and General Counsel


JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind., May 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Commercial Lines Inc. (Nasdaq: ACLI) ("ACL" or the "Company") announced today that it has appointed Dawn R. Landry to the position of Senior Vice President and General Counsel.

Ms. Landry, who earned her J.D. degree from Creighton University, was most recently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Formula Telecom Solutions, Inc., a provider of operating, customer management, billing systems and solutions for telecommunications service and content providers. Dawn was formerly an attorney with Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, a commercial law firm representing clients throughout the U.S., and was also an attorney with Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin, LLP, a commercial law firm in the Midwest.

Commenting on this appointment, Michael P. Ryan, ACL's President and CEO, stated, "Dawn is a great addition to the Company's senior management team. She brings with her a breadth of legal experience and a solid business understanding. We look forward to her leadership of our corporate legal team."
