'The Sport of Grilling': Author Blends Lifetime Love of Sports and Grilling in Cross-Over Book

LAKE SUZY, Fla., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Is grilling a real sport? The dictionary defines sport as "an active pastime participated in for pleasure or exercise." Grilling Coach Big Bob Snoor confirms in his new book, "The Sport of Grilling" (published by AuthorHouse -- http://www.authorhouse.com), that yes, grilling is in fact a sport, right among his other two favorite forms of recreation: golf and eating.

A compilation of grilling information, menus, recipes, self-help anecdotes and sports activities, "The Sport of Grilling" is much more than the average backyard grilling guide. Each chapter pairs a food subject with a recreational topic and includes an interactive sports list. Big Bob came up with the cross-over concept of the book while he was grilling dinner one night alone. He designed the book so that readers can throw their meals on the grill and then fill out the sports lists while dinner's cooking, to add excitement to the process.

"The Sport of Grilling" features over 250 grilling recipes, including instructions on how to grill "anything from lettuce to fish to bananas to potato salad to pound cake." It has 15 unique menus with recipes included for Thanksgiving Dinner, Easter Dinner, Super Bowl, Board Game Night, Movie Night, Family Night, and more. The book also features an original recipe created by Big Bob's daughter for "Lizzie's Honey Marinade & Sauce."

With an award-winning list of recipes and sports trivia, the book is a great source of entertainment for the next poker night, tailgating party, backyard cook-out or block party. Big Bob has incorporated over 70 sports lists throughout the book, from all genres of sports. Readers have the opportunity to fill out their own top lists in comparison to Big Bob's favorites, making "The Sport of Grilling" personalized to each sports fan. Covering every sport from auto-racing to tennis to bowling to college basketball, the book is the perfect gift for the ultimate sports fan or grilling master.

Grilling Coach Big Bob Snoor has worked in the foodservice industry for over 30 years. He graduated from the Dunwoody Industrial Institute with a diploma in practical baking, as well as the American Institute of Baking with a diploma in baking science and technology. He furthered his education at Johnson andWales College inRhode Island, graduating from the culinary arts program in 1985. "The Sport of Grilling" is Big Bob's first book in a series of many sports grilling books to come. For more information please visit http://www.sportofgrilling.com.
