power plants in China is expected to surpass 800 gigawatts (GW), and the
capacity could reached 1,000 GW in 2010, said Zhang Guobao, director of the
State Energy Bureau of China at the China Hydropower Development Forum held
on May 8, 2008, in Beijing.
