Morgan Creek Discovers 'That Face' From '24' Creator Joel Surnow

The film tells the story of a young man from a small town who lands a job in the mailroom of a major NYC cosmetics firm, only to be fired the first day for giving the owner and his son an honest opinion about the company's new marketing face. He finds a way back into the company when he uses his cell phone to snap a photo of a beautiful girl on the subway, and she becomes a candidate for the dream job.

That Face was written by Melanie Graham and will be produced by Morgan Creek's James G. Robinson along with Joel Surnow, David Robinson and Jonathan Koch. Colleen Surnow will executive produce. Universal Pictures will distribute the film domestically with Morgan Creek International and Universal Pictures International distributing in foreign territories.

About Joel Surnow

Emmy Award winner Joel Surnow is best known for being the co-creator/executive producer of the world-wide smash hit series "24." Among numerous other awards, Joel owns Emmy wins for Best Drama and Best Dramatic Writing, a Golden Globe for Best Drama, and was named Producer of the Year by the Producers Guild of America.

Joel's remarkable career is likewise highlighted by a perfect track record as a show-runner for new series. His work as head writer on the first season of Miami Vice propelled the show to legendary status and over 100 episodes all told. Joel was then given the reigns as Executive Producer of "The Equalizer," which endured for five seasons. In the mid-nineties, Joel adapted the movie, La Femme Nikita, which became a defining hit series for USA Network spanning five seasons. "24" is now in its eighth season on Fox and is counted among the most successful television series of all-time.

Currently Joel is writing an original contemporary spy thriller for United Artists with Martin Campbell set to direct.
