Newsflash To Hillary Clinton: It's Over

By Robert Paul Reyes

You don't have to be a political science major or an Internet pundit to know that, for all practical purposes, the race for the Democratic presidential nomination is over.

And you don't have to be a physicist to know that it's mathematically impossible for Sen. Hillary Clinton to overtake Obama's lead in pledged delegates or in the popular vote. Even a high school remedial math student knows that "It's Over".

The Fat Lady has finished her last encore, and she's home munching on Doritos and Ding Dongs and watching Hillary on Fox News declaring her intentions to carry on. "It's Over" she screams at the TV screen in between munching on her goodies.

Every time I turn on CNN another batch of superdelegates have announced their support for Obama. Even superdelegates pledged to Hillary are abandoning her sinking ship and switching their support to Obama. Before long the only ones standing by Hillary's side will be Chelsea and Bill. And I'm not too sure about Bill, if he notices how attractive Michelle Obama is, he might switch sides as well.

Breaking news from the Associated Press: Sen. John Edwards just announced that he's endorsing Obama. It's over!

But "Never say die" Hillary claims that it's not over till she says it's over. I can imagine Hillary at home watching Obama's inauguration on TV, and screaming at the small scream: It's not over until I say it's over.

Hillary Clinton: Two words, "It's Over."
