Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman of JKNPP addressing a Press Conference in Srinagar announced that historic 'Silver Jubilee Celebrations' of JKNPP shall be held in New Delhi, the Indian capital from May 31 to June 2, 2008 on the completion of 25 years of its foundation and achievements of the party and it is future plans for strengthening democracy and rule of law in the state.
It shall be first such meet of any regional political party of Jammu and Kashmir in the national capital. About 500 delegates ranging from Block Presidents to District Office bearers including Provincial and State Office bearers shall be participating in this historic meet from Kashmir, Jammu and Ladakh.
This decision was approved yesterday by Panthers Kashmir Council meeting held at Party Headquarters Rajbagh, Srinagar.
The Kashmir Council of JKNPP also condemned the terrorists attack in Samba in which several valuable lives were lost. The party urged upon the State Government to dismiss the present Government as it has lost control on the law and order in the state rather the Government has become a security risk and the people are not secured under the present Government. The party also felt that the majority of the Ministers are involved in scams and scandals and the Government has become den of corruption and scandals. This is the appropriate to invoke Section 92 of the State Constitution to impose Governor rule. The party also condemned serial bomb blasts in Jaipur last evening killing innocent people and leaving hundreds wounded.
Prof. Bhim Singh appealed the Prime Minister to convene urgent meeting of National Integration Council (NIC) to discuss the situation that has arisen because of the bloody attacks of the terrorists threatening peace in the sub-continent.
Prof. Bhim Singh also extended date of filing application to contest Assembly elections till 20th of May, 2008.
