Srinagar, May 14 On Wednesday, Indian army accused Pakistani troops of violating ceasefire along the frontiers with Kashmir by firing from sophisticated weapons towards Indian positions yesterday evening.

An Indian army spokesperson in Srinagar, Lt. Col. A. K. Mathur told NewsBlaze that the Pakistani army fired 70-80 rounds from automatic weapons towards Indian army positions in the Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir.

"The Indian army did not retaliate," he said, adding, "No loss of life or injuries took place in the incident".

A complaint was formally registered with the Pakistan side. "The flag meeting of Indian and Pakistani officials was held in the Tangdhar sector Thursday before noon. The army officials of the two sides decided that such things won't be repeated in the future," he added.
