Decoratours -- a Scottsdale First -- Guided Decorating Tours Personalized to Taste and Budget

"New residents moving into the valley, winter visitors, and residents looking to redecorate or remodel make up most of our clients," says Michelle Maxwell, partner with Alicia Guerrieri in Decoratours, a new Scottsdale-based company that provides decorating tours of local decorating and remodeling businesses. "We show them where the 'hidden gems' are in the valley for decorating -- places clients would not find on their own. We minimize the tiring legwork and stress associated with trying to find those items that reflect your taste and yet are still affordable."

Scottsdale residents Alicia Guerrieri and Michelle Maxwell are partners in the venture, which they plan to expand soon to other cities. During the personalized tour, clients are chauffeured in a luxury sedan, SUV or limousine accompanied by one of Decoratours' decorating guides. Clients visit stores selected by Decoratours specifically to match the clients' personal taste, decorating style and budget.

The stores chosen for the tours are included based on their uniqueness of items, quality of merchandise, and affordable pricing. The customized tour can be either three, four or five hours in length. The client receives 'red carpet treatment' being greeted personally by store personnel and given exclusive opportunities pre-negotiated with each store. Clients may purchase items while on the tour at the special discounted price, or they can purchase a Decoratours savings card qualifying them for the discounts at any time.

"We provide a new decorating experience by showing people how to have a fabulous look at an affordable price," says Alicia. "Plus, supporting local retail and wholesale establishments has made Decoratours a real hit with the storeowners."
