Genworth Financial Announces Results of Annual Meeting
RICHMOND, Va., May 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genworth Financial, Inc.
(NYSE: GNW) announced the re-election of all 10 directors at its 2008 annual
meeting of stockholders today, including Michael D. Fraizer, chairman and
chief executive officer.
Board members re-elected, in addition to Fraizer, included Frank J.
Borelli, former Chief Financial Officer, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.;
Nancy J. Karch, former Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company; J. Robert "Bob"
Kerrey, President, The New School University and formerUnited States Senator;
Risa J. Lavizzo-Mourey, President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation, Saiyid T. Naqvi, President, Harley-Davidson Financial
Services, Inc.; James A. Parke, former Vice Chairman and Chief Financial
Officer, GE Capital Services; James S. Reipe, former Vice Chairman, T. Rowe
Price Group, Inc.; Barrett A. Toan, former Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, Express Scripts, Inc.; and Thomas B. Wheeler, former Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer, MassMutual Financial Group.
Also at the 2008 annual meeting, stockholders ratified the selection of
KPMG LLP as the company's independent auditor for 2008.
