Subsidiary Sterling Worldwide Entertainment's independent film, "The Pack,"
along with Electric Movies and Jamaad Production, are proud to announce the
collaboration of the American Cancer Society - Cancer Action Network (ACS
CAN) with the Connecticut Film Festival, www.ctfilmfest.com. "The Pack,"
can be seen on May 25, 2008 5pm at the Palace Theatre in Danbury
Connecticut. The cost of the movie is $25.00 and includes a cocktail
reception and question and answer session with the actors. The proceeds
from the screening are to benefit ACS CAN.
"The Pack," directed by Alyssa Rallo Bennett and written by Alyssa and Gary
O. Bennett, stars Lucie Arnaz, Ryan Homchick, Carlos Leon, and Angie
Martinez. The film was inspired by real-life stories and documented cases
where secondhand smoke is believed to be the cause of a loved one's death.
Bryte Johnson, Director of Government Relations and Advocacy, states, "ACS
CAN views 'The Pack' as an outreach to the community about the dangers of
secondhand smoke, and as an excellent opportunity to engage people in the
discussion about the health, moral, and ethical issues regarding secondhand
smoke. This film is a provocative, entertaining drama that raises some
intriguing and complicated questions about how personal habits can have
far-reaching effects. We look forward to the conversations that are sure to
follow for anyone who sees this riveting film."
"Sterling's mission is to create and market thought-provoking films that
also entertain," said Kira Baskerville-Williams, Sterling Worldwide
Entertainment CEO. "We believe that we have achieved this with 'The Pack.'"
The American Cancer Society - Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the
nonprofit, nonpartisan sister advocacy organization of the American Cancer
