EJL Wireless Research Reports Global Wireless Infrastructure Revenues for Top OEMs Grew 22.6% YoY in Q1 2008 to $12.8 Billion
ZTE Reports Largest Year-Over-Year Revenue Growth at 113.5%

The global wireless BTS infrastructure
market revenues for the top OEMs grew by 22.6% for the first quarter of
2008 to $12.6 billion compared with the first quarter of 2007, according to
the latest report from EJL Wireless Research titled "Global Wireless OEM
Financial Results Q1 2008." "The market experienced a seasonally down Q1 on
a sequential basis of -15.4% but posted strong year-over-year growth in
dollars due to exchange rate fluctuations," says founder and President,
Earl Lum. The report provides a unique perspective on the global wireless
infrastructure revenues for major wireless OEMs including Alcatel-Lucent,
Ericsson, Motorola, Nokia Siemens Networks, Nortel Networks, and ZTE.
"With five out of the six OEMs posting year-over-year revenue growth in Q1
in local currencies, we believe that overall revenue growth for the
industry may be more in the mid-single digit range than flattish," says
Lum. As Huawei Technologies is the only company not represented in this
analysis, we believe that the results offer a realistic snapshot for the
industry on how the overall market is progressing for 2008.
The report is currently available for purchase and information can be
