Digital Book 2008 Showcases Emerging eBook Standard & Global Marketplace
International Adoption of EPUB Format & Cell Phone Reading to Accelerate eBook Business

At the Digital Book 2008 Conference on
Wednesday, May 14, the world's leading digital book publishers, e-reading
technology companies, and content distributors will explore the expanding
eBook marketplace and the emergence of the EPUB digital publication
standard. The sold-out conference will be held at the McGraw-Hill
Auditorium in New York City and is part of the International Digital
Publishing Forum's acclaimed spring educational series. Additional

Mikio Amaya, president and CEO of the Tokyo-based eBook retailer Papyless
Co., Ltd., will offer a special session on the eBook industry in Japan and
the country's growing mobile eBook marketplace. Representing additional
international markets will be attendees and exhibitors from Australia,
Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, India, Israel, Mexico, the Netherlands,
Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United
Kingdom.
"At Digital Book 2008 publishers and tech companies using new e-reading
applications and the open standard EPUB format will demonstrate how they

distributors will join dozens of solutions vendors to discuss EPUB best
practices and showcase innovative technology from around the world.
