Delray Beach Soccer Club Hosts Youth Soccer Try-Outs as State-of-the-Art Soccer Complex Nears Completion

"We're leveraging relationships with some of the top clubs inEngland like Manchester United, Chelsea, West Ham, Blackburn, Manchester City, Liverpool and the Beckham Academy to organize visits to their academies that will include opportunities for our players to compete in European tournaments," Director of Coaching and Player Development, Tony Stevens said.

Stevens, a former Head Coach to Manchester United's nursery team and founder of Supreme Soccer, is well known for dynamic soccer training programs and camps to clubs throughout the South Eastern United States. He's contracted along with former English Premier League player Ian Bishop to bring their unique vision of player development to the Delray Beach Soccer Club's training philosophy. Bishop made over 700 appearances in the English Leagues while playing for top teams including West Ham, Everton and Manchester City.

"I admire the enthusiasm of our recreational program and by also focusing early on a culture of player development for younger players in that program who may want to transition to travel soccer we can redefine the excellence of youth soccer," Stevens said.

Local soccer players will have an opportunity to experience some of this unique player development philosophy when the club kicks off free try-outs for its competitive soccer program May 27 - 31 & June 2 at Miller Park inDelray Beach.
