Police Recover 25 Kgs Explosives From Hideout in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 10: Police and Indian army personnel claimed to have recovered 25 kgs of explosives in Kashmir.

A police spokesman in Srinagar said that police and Indian army personnel conducted a joint combing operation at Darbal, Wuyan in outskirts of summer capital Srinagar. "During the search operation, troops recovered 14 kgs explosive material," he said adding, "one AK 45 rifle, one AK magazine, 30 AK rounds were also recovered from the area".

No arrests were, however, reported.

Meanwhile, in a separate combing operation, Indian army and police personnel recovered 10 kgs of deadly RDX explosive from Suchani forests in Jammu. Besides, the explosives, troops recovered 111 pika rounds, two UBGL grenades, two detonators and a radio set from the hideout.
