United Space Alliance Selects Huntsville Operations Vice President
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- United Space Alliance (USA) has
announced the selection of Kim Doering as Vice President for Huntsville
Operations, effective May 12. She joinsUSA from the NASA Johnson Space
Center where she most recently served as Deputy Program Manager for the Space
Shuttle. Reporting directly to the president and CEO, Doering will be
responsible for overseeing the development of new business opportunities for
USA in theHuntsville space operations market.

Executive Officer. "Kim brings a wealth of experience in space operations
management to our company," said Covey.
Doering served in a wide variety of leadership roles at NASA and in the
aerospace community for more than two decades. She began her aerospace career
in industry as an engineer for Rockwell International in June 1984, before
transitioning to Hernandez Engineering in 1986, and Booz, Allen & Hamilton in
1987. She joined NASA in February 1994 as the NASA Lead for Space Station
Manifest and International Partners Coordination. She served as Deputy
Manager for the ISS International Partners Office from May 1998 to August
2003, and as Deputy Manager for Orbital Space Plane Spacecraft Vehicle
Engineering from September 2003 to June 2004.
She served next as Manager of Space Shuttle Systems Engineering and
Integration (SE&I) and Element Integration before being named Deputy Manager
of Space Shuttle Systems Engineering and Integration in December of 2005. She
served as Manager of Space Shuttle Systems Engineering and Integration from
May 2006 to February 2007, before being named to her most recent NASA post as
Deputy Program Manager for Space Shuttle in March 2007.
