Free Press Applauds The Internet Freedom and Nondiscrimination Act

Today, House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) and Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) introduced the "Internet Freedom and Nondiscrimination Act of 2008" (H.R. 5994) - a bill that would help protect the free and open Internet.

Ben Scott, policy director of Free Press, issued the following statement:

"We applaud Chairman Conyers and Representative Lofgren for their leadership and commitment to the public interest on this critical issue. The Internet is the greatest engine of free speech and commerce since the printing press.
