Indian Army Chief Visiting Kashmir

Srinagar, May 8: Indian army chief, General Deepak Kapoor will arrive on a three visit to violence-hit Kashmir on Friday.

He will be accompanied by his wife and will leave back on May 11.

During his visit to Kashmir, the Indian army chief will interact with senior army officials in Kashmir about the latest ground situation in Kashmir. He will also visit the forward areas in Kashmir and interact with the soldiers deployed there. He will also be briefed after the anti-militancy operations conducted by the army. He will be briefed by army commanders at various levels and assess the security situation on the Line of Control and hinterland in the valley.
