ALCiS(R) Racing Team Breaks Records at Wildflower Triathlon
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The ALCiS Racing Team made
significant strides at the 2008 Avia Wildflower Triathlon on Saturday. ALCiS'
Nicholas Thompson was crowned 'Overall Men's Amateur Champion' as he broke the
all-time men's amateur course record by over four minutes (4:15:34). ALCiS'
Lauren Swigart was crowned 'Overall Women's Amateur Champion' as the fastest
female and broke her age group record by 15 minutes (4:50:30). Both
participated in the long course event.
ALCiS Racing's newest member, Heather Jackson, took second place in her
age group (5:04:21), second only to the fastest female in the race, Lauren
Swigart. ALCiS' Mark Pietrofesa dominated the Olympic course event as he
crossed the finish line a full 10 minutes ahead of the rest of his age group
(2:08:13).
"I trained hard all winter and it's very satisfying to see the hard work
payoff in my first race of the year," said Swigart. "I'm pleased that I
performed so well. However, it's a long season, so the keys to a successful
year are staying focused, staying healthy and continuing to use ALCiS Daily
Relief. I don't just wear the ALCiS shirt in races, I use ALCiS Daily Relief
when training and competing to help with better performance and recovery after
workouts."
