Analysts International Corporation Leads Partnership Designed to Improve Crime Data for the State of Alabama
Joins University of Alabama and VisionWare to Deploy a New Criminal Records Index for the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center

Analysts International
Corporation (AIC) (NASDAQ: ANLY), a leading systems integrator for State
and Local Government, and VisionWare Ltd., a leading customer data
integration and master data management solutions provider, have joined the
University of Alabama CARE Research and Development Lab (CRDL) to help
deploy a new Criminal Records Index Master (CRIMaster) for the Alabama
Criminal Justice Information Center (ACJIC), the state's criminal history
repository.
"ACJIC sees a direct correlation between the efficiency and effectiveness
of justice and the quality of crime data," said Elmer Baldwin, president
and CEO of AIC. "Together with our partners, AIC has designed a new index
to help improve the speed, breadth, depth and quality of searching and
reporting crime information across the State of Alabama."
"Over the past three years, we've made significant improvements within the
Alabama criminal justice community to collaborate among agencies and share
more data," said Maury Mitchell, ACJIC director. "Our next challenge
involves ensuring that the data we are collecting from multiple sources is
compared, combined, and cleansed so that our state criminal histories are
as accurate as possible. To meet this challenge, the AIC team has presented
us with a low risk, cost effective solution," Mitchell added. "AIC has
partnered with CRDL to do great things for us in the past, and we're
excited about working with them to dramatically improve our state's
criminal history information."
The new Criminal Records Index Master designed by AIC aligns with the
ACJIC's existing Microsoft-based enterprise architecture, leverages the
National Information Exchange Model and incorporates the local knowledge
and skills of the University of Alabama CRDL. The solution also leverages
VisionWare's proven indexing tool, MultiVue Identification Server(TM),
which is used by many public sector organizations to create a single view
of their data by matching and cleansing records from disparate business
systems.
"We look forward to helping transform the ACJIC's indexing and data
management capabilities in partnership with AIC and the University of
Alabama CRDL," said Peter Clark, VisionWare Partner and Alliances Manager.
"The new CRIMaster will have the ability to scale across Alabama's criminal
justice enterprise, helping to enable better decision making and eradicate
duplicate data."
