and Cocktails
NEW YORK, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning this week, Upper West Side
institution Isabella's celebrates its 20th birthday with special "throwback"
dishes from their original menus. Withstanding the changing landscape of the
neighborhood dining scene, Isabella's -- named forSpain's famous explorer --
supporting Queen Isabella, a wink to its Columbus Avenue location -- is still
the perennial favorite for family meals, brunch and al fresco dining.
To commemorate the year-long birthday party, Isabella's is reintroducing
classic favorites and celebrating dishes that have been around since inception
as well as a specialty cocktail, the Columbus Corner Cocktail. The special
dishes, such as a hearty Handmade Penne with Homemade Pomodoro Sauce and Baked
Ricotta Salata and a retro Chicken Hand Roll with Basil Aioli, will change
weekly through the end of the year, giving guests a taste of oldNew York.
After 15 years with B.R. Guest and Isabella's, Executive Chef John Lictro
has perfected the restaurant's menu to offer diners the ultimateNew York
culinary experience. Originally a line cook at the restaurant, Chef Lictro
has watched the restaurant grow and evolve into a quintessentialNew York City

do," says Stephen Hanson, founder of B.R. Guest Restaurants. "I look forward
to continuing to build memories and new fans at this location as well as new

today it's still the perfect brunch spot for everyone from A-list celebrities,
to neighborhood regulars who visit daily to enjoy Lictro's
