Scientology Gains: Undeniable Problems That Scientology "Cured"

By Merrill Storey

While I never considered myself to have a mental health problem, I can share a couple of undeniable problems that Scientology "cured" for me.

1) I suffered severe migraine headaches for several years. Typical symptoms of extreme pain in the temples and forehead, accompanied with blotchy vision and light sensitivity. In a Scientology counseling session I discovered the cause of these migraines. I was doubtful as I left the session that what I had realized could actually be the source of the headache, but it proved out as I've never suffered a migraine in all the years since.

2) I had a recurring pain in my upper left arm. It was a feeling like a knife was in the bicep muscle. It was most pronounced when I was driving and had to turn the steering wheel to the left. This was addressed during a Scientology auditing session and the cause uncovered. When I left the session the pain was gone and I've never had it again.

3) I had always felt myself to be a little withdrawn in social situations and not willing to be openly engaged with others. This too was addressed during Scientology counseling and I found the cause of the behavior. My social habits changed overnight and I'm able to fully participate.

The above points I'd classify as removal of negative attributes in my physical or mental state. The bulk of my other gains in Scientology have been improvement of already positive aspects of myself.
