U.S. RE Names Kelly Senior Actuary
Martin K. Kelly, an insurance and
reinsurance actuary with more than 30 years of experience, has been named
Senior Actuary at U.S. RE Corporation, the reinsurance and consulting arm
of U.S. RE Companies, Inc., Tal P. Piccione, Chairman and CEO, announced.
"Martin Kelly brings a wealth of actuarial experience to U.S. RE," Piccione
said. "He has served at a senior level in leading primary insurance
companies and international reinsurance intermediaries. His association
with U.S. RE reaffirms our commitment to assure that our resources in areas
such as dynamic financial analysis, reinsurance pricing support, and a wide
range of analytical measures to structure cost effective reinsurance

U.S. RE Companies, Inc., the parent of U.S. RE Corporation, is a financial

Kelly came to U.S. RE from Benfield, Inc., where he served as Senior Vice

actuarial services. Earlier, he held senior actuarial posts at reinsurance
brokers Guy Carpenter & Co., Willcox, Inc., and Balis & Company, Inc.
Before entering the reinsurance business, Kelly held supervisory actuarial
positions in the primary insurance sector with Great American Insurance
Company for 11 years, and earlier with The Home Insurance Company.
Kelly is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and the Casualty
Actuarial Society. He has served as Chairman of the Personal Property
Actuarial Committee, Insurance Services Office. Kelly holds a Bachelor of
Science Degree-Magna Cum Laude, in mathematics from Manhattan College,
Riverdale, NY.
