'One of A Kind' IPTV 'LOV Box' Wows 2008 NAB Attendees
CHULA VISTA, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- LOV Engineering made a big
splash with the unveiling of their "LIVE" streaming dual patent-pending "LOV
Box" technology: the LOV Box Xtreme(R) for SD -- Standard Definition, and the
LOV Box HDXtreme(R) for HD -- High Definition. Both units are portable and
powered by a six-hour battery as well as a/c. Inputs include IEEE 1394,
HDSDI, HDMI, BNC, RCA along with balanced stereo XLR audio inputs.
The "LOV Boxes" were introduced at NAB, the world's largest electronics
show, which was recently held inLas Vegas during April 14-17. Over
105,000 attendees were on site including key executives, developers,
engineers, and end users particularly news gathering broadcasters searching
for the latest IPTV solutions. "The global expectations for the IPTV industry
are for a solution that makes internet viewing a seamless experience and an
easy transition from traditional broadcast television. Our 'one of a kind'
patent-pending, low latency technology puts us at the forefront of this
industry because we can offer our clients their own 'high quality' Global
Broadcast Outlet that will provide their viewers both 'LIVE' and pre-recorded
programming," states Jorge Cano Jr., LOV Engineering CEO.
The overwhelming interest in LOV Engineering's technology was not only
expressed by representatives from US Corporations like CBS, NBC, Telemundo,
DirecTV, AT&T, Cox, INTEL and Sony Electronics but also attracted
international interest from traditional and IPTV networks and developers from
Mexico toArgentina, fromRussia, toCanada,Colombia,Venezuela,France and
Italy among others. "These are changing and revolutionary solutions. Before,
I needed a half a million-dollar satellite truck to cover 'live-breaking-news'
such as Katrina. With this technology, I can just plug in and go," comments
Patricio Espinoza, Emmy Award winning network news correspondent.
"Television executives and alike who attended our booth were stunned to
see 'LIVE' TV Programs being streamed at broadcast quality and shown on a 50
inch flat plasma screen with a latency range of 2-5 seconds while using a
minimum broadband speed of 512kbps," says Jorge Cano Jr., who ads, "Our 'LIVE'
internet streaming technology is designed to be viewed via laptop or computer
monitors that are much smaller in size. However, we wanted to make the point
that even on a large HD Plasma TV screen our technology is superior to
anything on the market today."
LOV Engineering's head of Technology R & D, Omar Suner, describes one of
the substantial benefits derived from the "LOV Box" technology: "Our IPTV
solution offers any television network or niche broadcaster the real
possibility to stream live content via the internet. Currently, programming
and live breaking news are distributed via satellites, or an MSO at a huge
cost with limited market reach. Our 'LOV Box' technology and streaming
solution makes it very cost effective and affordable to extend your reach to a
new global audience 24/7. At LOV Engineering we mean it when we say 'LIVE
means LIVE!'"
"Our streaming solution was designed around not having competing media
players so that everyone across any OS platform can view endless multimedia
content without worrying about downloading software or experiencing system
conflicts or hang-ups," says USA LOV Representative Jerry Gonzalez.
