The Battle Rages On: The Hillary Clinton And Barack Obama Death Match
By Robert Paul Reyes
President Bill Clinton looks through his rose-colored glasses, and sees Hillary as a knight in shining armor who in keeping with the rules of chivalry and fair play has defeated Barack Obama.
Hillary Clinton perceives herself as the inevitable Democratic nominee by virtue of her lead in the popular vote. Never mind that nobody subscribes to her convoluted and mind-bending brand of new math.
In the Clintonian view of the battle for the Democratic nomination, peace and goodwill prevails in Camelot and all the serfs are enamored of Hillary.
But all of us peasants who are too ignorant to know the real meaning of the word "is" see all the nicks in Hillary's armor. We can't applaud for Hillary because we are holding our noses from the stench emanating from her.
We aren't watching a fair battle, but a death match that has both contestants drenched in sweat and blood.
The serfs and peasants have spoken and Obama is our victorious knight in shining armor by virtue of his lead in pledged delegates and the popular vote.
But what the heck we are merely peasants, and the Knights of the Democratic Round Table need to weigh in with their exalted opinion. Dean, Pelosi, Reid and the other illustrious knights should bring this bloody spectacle to an end. They ought to prevail upon the superdelegates to ascertain the will of the people by declaring their support for Obama.
