Broccoli & Health Information
All Broccoli Is Not the Same - Gary Williamson and his associates at the Institute for Food Research in England, have created a sort of Super Broccoli by crossing a wild strain of broccoli, from Sicily, with an ordinary variety to produce the 'new' broccoli.
This hybrid broccoli looks and tastes the same as regular broccoli, but contains 10 times as much sulforaphane as its ordinary cousin. Sulforaphane is a phytonutrient found in the Broccoli family of vegetables that helps destroy cancer-causing chemicals in the body.
Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, radish, cabbage, turnips, brussels sprouts, horseradish and others produce several substances, including sulforaphane, that have been found to prevent cancer.
In clinical trials reported by The Journal of the National Cancer Institute earlier this year, people who ate 250 grams a day, or even as little as 2-3 serving of broccoli a week, were found to have significantly decreased risk for prostate cancer. Essentially the same can be achieved .with Super Veggies, the organic, 100% pure vegetable sprouts in Vegan capsules.
We make organic, 100% pure vegetable sprouts, called Super Veggies, to help meet our"Vegetable Quotient"
of 5-9 serving of vegetables and fruit each day. For more information about Super Veggies, please click here
