VP Dick Cheney will be met Friday in Wilton by Vietnam vet
Vice-President Dick Cheney will be "greeted" by anti-war demonstrators - including a Vietnam veteran now running for Congress - in his visit to the Sacramento area FRIDAY at a $10,000 a head fundraiser for Rep. Dan Lungren (R-Gold River).
Dr. Bill Durston, who will be running against Lungren in November for the Congressional District 3 race, says he will be there to greet the Veep after meeting at the home of a supporter just down the street from the fundraiser.
Durston and others will meet at 4 p.m. FRIDAY at 9425 Montevideo Drive, in Wilton.
"We'll be taking a peaceful stroll along Dillard Road...If we're lucky, we may get a chance to wave to Dick and Dan as they arrive for the $10,000 a head Cheney-Lungren fundraiser," according to Durston's website.
