Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family's Digital Group Has Record-Breaking Month Online and Establishes Itself as Number-One Kids and Family Online Destination

NEW YORK, April 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group's digital sites registered their best month ever online in March 2008, according to comScore Media Metrix (March 2008), establishing itself as the number-one kids and family online destination. The group of sites, which include Nick.com (http://www.nick.com); NickJr.com (http://www.nickjr.com/arcade); The-N.com (http://www.the-n.com); Neopets (http://www.neopets.com); Shockwave (http://www.shockwave.com); AddictingGames (http://www.addictinggames.com); ParentsConnect (http://www.parentsconnect.com); http://www.nickatnite.com; http://www.noggin.com; http://www.icarly.com, and myNOGGIN (http://www.mynoggin.com); among others, garnered 27.9 million uniques, besting nearest competitor Disney Online by +2%.

Per comScore, Nick Kids and Family Group's record-breaking digital performance was up more than +11% in unique visitors over the previous month and +7% in terms of time spent, as well as +27% year-over-year. Visitors averaged 81.1 minutes on the sites in March and page views for the sites increased by +9% to 3.2 billion for the month as well.

For the quarter, Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group digital sites topped all competition in terms of visits, page views; and total time spent. From January to March 2008, the company averaged more than 130 million visits, 2.2 billion page views and 2.1 billion total minutes in time spent.

Highlights* of Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group's digital performance in March include:

    -- Nick.com became the number-one kids site achieving its best month
       ever-beating its August 2006 performance of 9.6 million -- after
       netting its highest trafficked day on March 29 as a result of
       Nickelodeon's 2008 Kids' Choice Awards (source: Omniture SiteCatalyst).
       The site grew its unique visitors by +27% to an average of 10.1 million
       for the month.
    -- March marked icarly.com's highest month with 3.3 million unique
       visitors, up +22% from its previous record-setting month of February
       2008.
    -- AddictingGames, the number-one independent gaming site since February
       2007, increased its traffic in March by +3% to 9.6 million unique
       visitors, who spent +22% more time on the site at an average of 25
       minutes. In addition, Shockwave increased in uniques by +13% over the
       previous month, garnering 4.8 million visitors.
    -- Neopets, the world's leading youth community and online virtual world,
       increased time spent on the site month-to-month by +27%. Visitors spent
       an average of almost three hours on the site in March.
    -- ParentsConnect brought in more than 1 million uniques for the month of
       March.

The Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group portfolio of digital sites, which serve kids, to tweens and teens, to parents focus on the pre-eminent activities that its audiences participate in online: gaming, social-networking and community, and video. The company recently announced that its game-focused sites, which reach 20 million game players monthly (according to comScore Media Metrix, US only), will add 1,600 new games to its existing library of 5,000 games, new tools for users to build their own games, and several demographic-focused gaming sites. It also is in development of virtual worlds based on its Nick's existing animated property-SpongeBob SquarePants; new original properties like Monkey World (working title) and World of Neopia (working title) is in production and expected to launch in the next year.
