Indianapolis-based ETS Tan, the global leader in manufacturing and
distributing indoor tanning beds, has partnered withCarlsbad, Calif.-
headquartered Photo Therapeutics Inc. the world leader in light therapy, to
introduce the new Rejuvasun(TM) with Omnilux(TM).
The Rejuvasun with Omnilux is a commercial-grade spa bed that now features
FDA-cleared, medically proven light therapy panels. Consumers have the option
to experience full-body tanning and light therapy sessions for the face and
neck areas simultaneously, tanning sessions alone or light therapy sessions
alone.
"ETS Tan debuted the first-to-the-marketplace Rejuvasun spa bed in late
2006. Now, with the second-generation Rejuvasun with Omnilux, ETS Tan again
introduces a marketplace first - an FDA-cleared, medically certified device
proven in clinical sessions to rejuvenate the skin, reduce fine lines and
wrinkles and stimulate the body to produce collagen and elastin," said ETS Tan
CEO Bill Pipp. "We're excited about the opportunity to offer medically proven
technology to consumers through salon and spa owners throughout the world."
The original Rejuvasun was well-received by both salons and their
customers - more than 150 units of the original spa bed are in use now in
salons throughout the U.S.
Light therapy using the Rejuvasun with Omnilux is non invasive, thus
causes no pain or downtime. Omnilux Light Therapy uses visible red LED's at
633 nanometer wavelengths and invisible, near-infrared LED's at 830 nanometer
wavelengths - a proven combination that is the most effective program for skin
improvement - to stimulate the body's natural production of collagen.
According to clinical studies by Photo Therapeutics, which manufactures
Omnilux, after just 12 weeks of sessions, nearly 85 percent of users reported
improved skin tone while 74 percent of users reported visible reductions of
fine lines and wrinkles.
Rejuvasun with Omnilux uses the same technology as its parent device,
Photo Therapeutics' Omnilux Light Therapy system, which is used extensively by
3,200 dermatologists and plastic surgeons worldwide.
"Omnilux Light Therapy has many advantages. Through light therapy, or
photomodulation, the body stimulates its own cellular mechanisms and improves
the firmness of the skin, skin tone and skin clarity," said Sue D'Arcy,
president of Photo Therapeutics. "Omnilux therapy is used to treat a wide
range of dermatological conditions including acne, photodamage and wound
healing after elective surgery."
D'Arcy said the partnership with ETS Tan "allows salon visitors access to
the same light therapy treatments they would receive in a dermatologist's
office at an affordable price."
The new Rejuvasun with Omnilux will be available for commercial purchase
beginning April 28. ETS Tan is accepting pre-orders on its Web site at
