PAFP Golf Tournament to Benefit Student Programs

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians Foundation (PAFP/F) is hosting a summer golf tournament to benefit family medicine student scholarship programs.

"The Commonwealth needs more family physicians to handle the continuing demand for primary care," said PAFP Foundation President Mary Elizabeth Roth, MD (Allentown). "Since students at our state's medical schools represent the future of family medicine we have to make sure they get every opportunity to succeed and pursue their dreams of helping others."

The FORE Family Medicine Invitational Scramble will be held Saturday, June 28, at Hershey Country Club. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The 19th Hole Awards Reception is at 6 p.m. The cost per golfer is $165, which includes golf, cart, goodies and the reception. All golfers also receive a free golf jacket courtesy of PMSLIC, which provides professional liability insurance for physicians in PA.
