CIT Services Now on GSA Schedules

HERNDON, Va., April 9, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), a state-chartered non-profit, today announced that it is now on the GSA Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) Schedule.

MOBIS schedule presence will allow CIT to work with federal agencies and state and local governments to assist them with the identification and assimilation of advanced technologies that enable business process improvement and deliver enhanced services to citizens.

The GSA MOBIS Schedule establishes long-term contracts with vendors to provide federal agencies and state and local governments with streamlined access to qualified contractors. A listing on the GSA Schedule makes it significantly easier for government agencies to engage CIT services.

"MOBIS presence is a logical expansion step for CIT," said Peter Jobse, President and CEO. "Our strength in delivering services for identifying, mapping and transitioning nascent technologies found at the research stage through the latest startup ensure that our clients' investments are positioned to avoid obsolescence and optimized for maximum return. We believe government agencies will find our CIT Connect services valuable to their strategic planning and technology procurement processes."

Paul McGowan, CIT Vice President and Managing Director, said, "For over 20 years, CIT's mission has been to accelerate technology and to find innovative solutions to some of society's toughest challenges. We support government and industry programs by providing decision-makers with the most current and accurate insight regarding research, technology and trends."

The SINs (Special Item Number) on the GSA MOBIS Schedule under which CIT will provide services are SIN 874-1 Consulting Services and SIN 894-2 Facilitation Services. The period of CIT's listing on the Schedule will be between March 2008 and March 2013, with three five-year option periods following the initial listing period. This translates to a potential twenty-year listing.
