Attunity Extends Functionality for Microsoft Applications

The Attunity Integration Suite now offers customers the additional benefit of native support for 64bit Windows including the availability of Attunity Server Kits for 64bit Windows and Thin 64bit ODBC Clients. Additional enhancements to the suite include a new version of Attunity's SSIS CDC Accelerator and significant enhancements to ADO.NET support.

The SSIS CDC Accelerator enables customers to create efficient and real-time ETL (extract, transform and load) solutions automatically and rapidly, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) capabilities and Attunity Stream's change data capture (CDC) technology. The new version of SSIS CDC Accelerator now provides independent design-time and runtime software, allowing users to freely choose a development environment (32 or 64bit) and then deploy a solution without requiring the availability of Microsoft development components. In addition, the new version facilitates deployments to 64bit systems and has been enhanced based on customer experience and feedback.

Introducing significant enhancements to its ADO.NET support, the Attunity Integration Suite now provides improved productivity and robustness for developers that need to connect with legacy data sources or applications from a Microsoft environment. Firstly, Attunity's ADO.NET Client now supports the ADO.NET 2.0 APIs, allowing developers to leverage the API's extended capabilities, as well as seamless support for wizards and tools provided by Microsoft or 3rd parties. Secondly, the Attunity ADO.NET Client now enables developers to use the common and standard ADO.NET APIs to interact with legacy applications (e.g. Tuxedo, COBOL) in addition to data sources. Finally, the new client improves developer productivity by supporting the built-in Server Explorer component of Visual Studio.
