Grits -- Not Just for Breakfast Anymore
Grits, the ultimate expression of Southern cooking, has not only been
embraced by other mainstream regions of the country, but it has also expanded
beyond the breakfast table. In fact, Quaker offers families' three varieties:
Instant, Old Fashioned and Quick Quaker Grits, which are so versatile they can
be eaten for breakfast, lunch or even dinner.
"Quaker Grits are a Southern tradition enjoyed by generations, who have
grown up eating it every day," says Lauren Kramer-Dover, director of marketing
for Quaker Grits. "One of the original comfort foods, Quaker Grits is a
delicious and nourishing way to start the day or enjoy as a tasty side dish."
The festival, which Quaker Instant Grits has been a lead sponsor of for
the last 20 years, includes kids' activities, arts, crafts and live music not
to mention a taste of delicious Quaker Grits flavors. Throughout the weekend,
festival visitors can also register to win Quaker Instant Grits T-shirts and
