Peter Ford Adopts Marines, Supports Soldiers Angels

A longtime friend of Patti Bader, Peter Ford and his wife Lynda adopted - through Soldiers' Angels - a Marine Sergeant, and his four radio operator buddies in Iraq.

They were looking for a more personal way to support the troops, one on one. Since then, Peter and his wife have been proud to bring a bit of home to them in the desert.

Peter is the son of Glenn Ford, a great actor and proud Marine. As Peter says to our troops: "they were part of the old guard, patriotic Americans, and I come from that. There are still people in America who appreciate your service. You live in our hearts."

At the Soldiers' Angels Executive Leadership Conference Dinner, radio show host Bob Calvert sat next to Peter and Lynda, and Peter agreed to talk about his experiences with Soldiers' Angels and their adopted Marines.
