"I'm not dead, yet" -John Poswall's California Book Tour of Altar Boys
John Poswall will launch his California book tour for his latest novel, The Altar Boys--a courtroom drama and legal thriller set in Sacramento--after a celebration and signing 11:30 to 12:30 at BORDERS BOOKS on Fair Oaks Bldv. in Sacramento. He and his son will travel by van to 15 BORDERS bookstores in five days ending in San Diego where John will undergo treatment at the world-famous Scrippts Clinic for his recent onset of leukemia. (Cities in the tour include Davis, Vacaville, San Rafael, San Francisco, San Ramon, Palo Alto, San Jose, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Oxnard, Los Angeles, and San Diego.)
"Altar Boys is about religion and faith and facing one's own mortality," said John Poswall. "So, it is appropriate and perhaps ironic that my book tour will end with the issue of my own mortality in question."
Poswall, in addition to being the author of two novels, is also a trial lawyer listed in "Best Lawyers in America" and "Superlawyers of Northern California." He is known for his high profile courtroom victories against some of the biggest corporations in America "including the Catholic Church," he added. His 50 acres of gardens will be featured on May 10 on the National Garden Conservancy tour of private gardens in America "so I have to get cured in a hurry."
The book tour, and subsequent medical treatment, will be covered daily on a blog linked to his website, www.johnposwall.com. "We plan to have a lot of fun...and record it for others to enjoy."
