NASA Astronaut Clayton Anderson Visits Folsom April 17th


Folsom residents have an opportunity to meet NASA Astronaut Clayton C. Anderson when he visits Folsom on April 17. Anderson will share stories about his experience working aboard the International Space Station for five months in 2007.

Clayton will speak at the City's Senior and Arts Center, 48 Natoma St., beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17. Space is limited and advance reservations are required. Call the Parks & Recreation Department, (916) 355-7285 for reservations and more information.

A 25-year veteran of the NASA Johnson Space Center, Anderson was selected as a mission specialist in 1998. During his stint at the International Space Station, he served as a flight engineer and science officer for Expedition 15. He performed three space walks, spending a total of 18 hours outside the Space Station before returning home in November.
