AVIATION WEEK to Present MRO Military Conference April 15-16 in Ft. Lauderdale
NEW YORK, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- AVIATION WEEK, the largest multimedia
information and services provider to the global aviation, aerospace and
defense industries, will present MRO Military on April 15-16, 2008, at the
Broward County Convention Center inFort Lauderdale, Florida. Leaders from all
four U.S. military branches and the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul
(MRO) industry will discuss ways to improve the sustainment of fighter, rotor
wing, airlift and tankers, and electronically complex aircraft (including
UAVs). MRO Military will be co-located with the MRO 2008 Conference &
Exhibition, one of the industry's most important MRO events.
A fully interactive conference with access to the top strategists and
decision-makers in the industry, MRO Military gives attendees the opportunity
to get shoulder-to-shoulder with experts to create real action plans. Sessions
are structured to maximize collaborative idea sharing, with high-powered
working groups for fighter, rotor wing, airlift/tankers, and electronically
complex aircraft professionals. Working group participants will identify
implications, enablers, lessons learned and data relative to improving
availability, readiness, cycle time and cost, and will contribute to driving
improvement, building public/private partnerships and delivering an action
plan for the next 12 months that addresses obsolete commodities, rapid
response manufacturing, aging fleets, and more.
"In our current economic situation, ongoing budgetary constraints and
restrictions demand strategic, actionable, and cost-effective planning," said
Tom Henricks, president, AVIATION WEEK. "MRO Military participants will play a
major role in planning for tomorrow's war-fighting success, and get high-level
access to the experts responsible for defining key best practices aligned with
