Media Advisory: Minister Finley Attends Citizenship Ceremony; Presents Citizenship Certificate to First Foreign-Born Adopted Child to Enter Canada as a Citizen as a Result of Bill C-14


SCARBOROUGH, ONTARIO - (Marketwire - March 24, 2008) - The Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, will attend a citizenship ceremony where 90 people will take the oath of citizenship. The minister will also present a citizenship certificate to the first foreign-born child to enter Canada through the new citizenship process made possible by recently implemented Bill C-14.

The Minister will be available to the media following the ceremony.
