Pyxix®, a diversified global media company, has launched its fourth broadband entertainment channel, PyxTunes.com, the Global Music Network, with the 2008 WorldSong online music competition.
More than $11,000 in cash and prizes will be presented to winners of the music contest at a gala event in Hollywood in December. Several additional prizes, including Apple® iPod® Touch mobile digital devices, will be awarded in drawings in the coming months.
WorldSong is part of the PyxWorld/2008 program, which is inviting artists - amateur, aspiring and professional - from all over the globe to submit original content, in any language or format, in the following genres: music, documentary, comedy and horror.
About the 2008 WorldSong Online Music Competition
The WorldSong music contest is open to anyone, in any country, amateur or professional.
Entries can be submitted to the 2008 WorldSong online music contest at www.PyxTunes.com.
Entries can be submitted now through August 31, 2008.
Awards will be unlimited global promotion and $1,000 in cash to the top winner in each of 11 categories:

Music videos
Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges during September, and the PyxTunes audience will select the winners via online polls during October and November.
Top artists will be recognized and over $11,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at the gala event in Hollywood in December.
