2 Live Artillery Shells Recovered in Kashmir

Srinagar, March 19: The people living in the area adjacent to Indian army's gutted ammunition depot at Khundroo, some 70 kms from the summer capital Srinagar recovered two live artillery Bofors shells and six fuses.
The live shells and fuses were noticed by people in an open field close to the ammunition depot of Indian army that was burnt in August 2007. Twenty people, mostly Indian army's firemen were killed in the blaze.
After noticing the live artillery shells, the locals informed the police, who in turn informed Indian army officials about the incident. Army presses its anti-sabotage team and bomb disposal squad into service and neutralized the devices.
The experts of Indian Army's bomb disposal squad took to shells and fuses with them.
