Protect Their Remote Virgin Rainforest The Oil Industry Seeks To Destroy

Just over 5,000 inhabitants (plus 4 other groups) in a land that is 5 Million acres in size. These people are asking YOU to help them. It's urgent you respond right away. Please read how below.

This area of Planet Earth has some of the most beautiful animals known to man. Many species are yet to be discovered. It is also home to many natural medicines. These medicines when discovered are taken away in the purest forms and then made into some of the most common medicines in drug stores today.

As Mother Teresa said "We cannot do great things; we can only do small things with great love".

EDITOR's UPDATE: Monday March 17, 2008. Today, I interviewed David Tucker, at the Pachamama Alliance in San Francisco. That is an amazing organization! It will take me a few days to write a story from my notes, but in a nutshell, this is an organization that is worthy of support and that could be used as a model for other non-profits that work with indigenous groups.

The most interesting and extremely disconcerting part of the story has nothing to do with the great work this organization is doing. It is how the world financial organizations have saddled Ecuador with debt they can't get out from under unless they sell their resources.
