Dynacare Kasper Medical Laboratories has changed its name to DynaLIFE Diagnostics (DynaLIFEDx), to communicate their scope of diagnostic capabilities and to enhance focus on customers.

The company chose the new name to reflect the expanding role that medical diagnostic labs and laboratory physicians play in supporting life and wellness.

BACKGROUND

DynaLIFEDx is a Canadian diagnostic laboratory that provides comprehensive medical laboratory testing services to regional health care authorities, hospitals and clients in business and industry. The main testing facility in Edmonton is a state of the art laboratory and performs more than fourteen million tests every year. The company mission is to be the partner of choice for quality diagnostic services that enhance health and wellness.

DynaLIFEDx has over 800 laboratory technologists and assistants working in more than forty sites. The laboratory performs referral testing and offers consulting and management services to a wide range of health care organizations.

As part of an enhanced customer focus, the company has recently introduced a new "appointment" system for patient lab testing. The ability to book appointments greatly reduces the waiting time for collections at the Patient Care Centres and has been very well received by patients.
