Valuable Secret Message Hidden in New Travel Book

Would anybody actually want to be homeless? Yes, if they were a somewhat eccentric and formerly wealthy business mogul bent on touring the world as a penniless pauper.

Gary Garner is a vagabond for the twenty-first century, living out what some can only dream of. This man's odyssey is a combination of National Treasure, Indiana Jones and The Da Vinci Code all rolled into one. This incredible yet bizarre tale is the result of one mans answer to a love lost.

Fortunately we get to go along for the ride. Garner kept countless detailed journals and notes, and crafted amazing artwork along the way and the result is Through the Eyes of Madness.

A modern adventure tale richly illustrated with scores of photos and illustrations, the book was born out of a life-changing moment when the author/adventurer was to driven to "madness," when he lost the women of his dreams.

"I just quit my job as the successful CEO, President and Owner of several Seattle-based firms, and embarked on a global journey with nothing more than my backpack," he says. "And I never looked back."

For the past five years, Garner has literally been homeless and jobless, and more or less without material possessions. While roaming each of the seven continents in search of a simpler life, he has experienced:

 A brutal murder on the South China Sea
 The wrath of an angry mob in the midst of a Nepalese civil war
 His own near death at the heights of Mt. Everest
 Being ambushed and robbed in Costa Rica by very unusual suspects
 Countless other harrowing escapes that illustrate valuable and moving life lessons

Each chapter is richly detailed with life and death and real-life adventures, as Garner continually put himself in situations which were seemingly un-survivable. His own vibrant artwork adorns the pages of what amounts to a personal journal. His studies of science, life and architecture infuse his sketches and paintings.

The book also has an intriguing twist: Garner has a mysterious surprise waiting for anyone who can decipher the encrypted codes in his journal, which point to physical clues planted on each of the seven continents. From beginning to end, the book is laced with a visual and mathematical secret code-but unlike its fictional cousins, this book's secret is very real.

"These past few years have been so fantastical and life altering that even I have trouble believing it," admits Garner. "But that's why I kept the journals and constructed the book in the way that I did. Now, others can share in the adventure!"

"More important to me than anything are the causes that this book will help support," says Garner. "The whole purpose behind Through The Eyes of Madness was to create a vehicle that lets people buy something that they will enjoy and be inspired by but at the same time make a difference in the world."
