Top Hizbul Commander Arrested

Srinagar, March 9: A top commander of pro-Pakistan militant group, Hizbul Mujahideen was arrested by police during an operation in North Kashmir.
A police officer while confirming the arrest of the militant commander said, police had received specific information about the presence of the militant commander in a village Maratgam, Handwara in North Kashmir. "The police officers launched search operation in the area and during the house to house searches, they arrested a top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen," he said.
The police officer identified the arrested militant commander as Mushtaq Ahmad Malla alias Furqan son of Ghulam Ahmad of North Kashmir.
"The arrested militant was top commander of Hizbul Mujahideen and was involved in several attacks on police, para-military and army in Kashmir," he claimed.
The officer claimed that an AK 47 rifle, three magazines, 81 live rounds, three hand grenades, one pouch, three detonators and some incriminatory material were recovered from his possession.
