Hoy's Weekend Edition Expands to Over 280,000 Chicagoland Hispanic Households
CHICAGO, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoy, the nation's leading
Spanish-language newspaper with daily editions inChicago andLos Angeles,
will continue the expansion of its Fin de Semana weekend home delivery edition
with address-specific delivery to Spanish dominant Hispanic households.
The change is part of an effort by theChicago Tribune Media Group to
prevent delivery of duplicative ad inserts to local consumers. Starting in
April, Spanish dominant households that don't currently subscribe to other
Tribune Company's properties on the weekend will have their weekend preprint
package carrier delivered by Fin de Semana replacing the mail delivery of
Weekend shopLocal. Fin de Semana will now be a 4th product inChicago Tribune
Media Group's unduplicated weekend preprint product mix.
"Our advertisers have asked us to find a better, more cost-effective
advertising solution through our weekend edition, and we're proud to report
that our distribution changes will fulfill that need," said Julian Posada, Hoy
General Manager. "This new development positions Hoy as the best way to reach
the local Hispanic audience."
