The First Ever Matrix(TM) Synthetic Turf Field in the United States Succeeds in Texas.

AUSTIN, Texas, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The first ever Matrix(TM) synthetic turf field in theUnited States is a success during the first season of play at Frenship High School in West Texas.

"We are a playoff team and have played on a ton of fields, this one is by far the best, our athletes love it and when you are in the stands the field looks just like real grass," says Brad Davis, Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Frenship.

Matrix(TM) is made with a higher fiber content with yarn coming from Austria, a country that delivers the finest in fiber technology. Matrix(TM) fiber has been tested at the Austrian Research Institute of Chemistry and Technique (ofi), one of the preeminent testing labs in the world.

"This field is super consistent in terms of shoe interface and ball bounce while the G-MAX testing yields fantastic results," says Reed J. Seaton, Hellas Construction's Chief Executive Officer. "The fibers vary in size and in color, giving the field a beautiful natural grass look."

"I will put it to you this way, we have had 11 schools visit our field and 10 of those decided on Matrix before leaving our stadium," says Coach Davis.

"This field is our latest most advanced system, comprised of monofilament spinneret yarn in two different sizes and colors," says Seaton. "This unique design provides the best possible system with excellent light deflection under stadium lights."

"Matrix is the best synthetic surface that I've ever been on, and the closest thing to real grass I have ever seen," says Jim Loerwald, Athletic Director at Round Rock ISD.
