Lions Clubs 'Game of The Week' Day at U.S. Cellular Field


CHICAGO, Feb. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "You are all invited to meet, greet and eat with Lions from all around Illinois," said Chris Coleman, chairperson of theChicago White Sox "Game of the Week" Lions Day at US Cellular Field on Saturday, May 24th.

He continued on, saying, "The proceeds from this special event will go toward the Lions of Illinois Foundation Camp, Lions Youth Camp, and Helen Keller Adult Camp, which provide young people and adults a week to remember in an outdoor atmosphere." There are three sites in Illinois where over 13,000 youth with vision and/or hearing impairments have met and made friends while participating in fun and challenging activities at summer camp. The adult camp for visually impaired campers 18 years and older is the only camp program of its kind in the Midwest.

The fun starts at approximately 1 p.m. with a special pre-game patio party featuring a two-hour "all-you-can-eat buffet" with everything from ribs to hot dogs, beer, wine and soft drinks sponsored by the Lions of Illinois Foundation.

At 2:55pm it's baseball with the White Sox vs.Los Angeles Angels! The all inclusive ticket prices for the patio party buffet and baseball game are: Lower Box $74.00 adult - $60.00 child/senior (60 years and older) and Lower Reserved: $70.00 adult - $56.00 child/senior (12 years and younger).

Dawn Grogan, event co-chair, says that all monies have to be received before tickets will be issued and the last day to order will be March 31, 2008. Please make your checks payable to the "Lions of Illinois Foundation" which is a 501(c) 3 corporation. As a special incentive, groups of 20 or more will be acknowledged on the outfield message board as well as the first 10,000 ladies getting a free hat as they enter the park!
