Algonac Woman to be Awarded $30,000 For 'Cracking the Safe' at the 2008 Detroit Boat Show

Vikki Ritzert, Algonac woman who hit the 1 in a million odds to win $30,000
Mike Lambert, Land's End Yacht Sales, Harrison Township, MI, who will sell Vikki her boat of choice.
WHAT:
MBIA will present the $30,000 check to Vikki Ritzert who will then use it to purchase the boat of her choice from Land's End Yacht Sales. The "Crack the Safe" promotion was an opportunity for people to punch in a six digit code to try and "Crack the Safe." Odds of winning with six digits are 1 in 1 million.
Vikki Ritzert said the winning number came to her in a dream the night before she came to theDetroit Boat Show. After punching in the right code, Vikki purchased a boat at the show and will now receive her $30,000 award check at a special Open House at Land's End Yacht Sales in Harrison Township. With the proceeds from her current boat's sale, she intends to help pay for her granddaughter's college education. "God provided the way for us to help our granddaughter go to college," said Vikki Ritzert.
TheDetroit Boat Show ran February 16 - 24 at Cobo Center and saw a 19.2% increase in attendance over 2007 with 85,087 people attending the event.
