The Altar Boys, Courtroom Drama, Legal Thriller, Set in Sacramento
By Alan Gray, NewsBlaze
They meet again - the altar boys - but one is now the Bishop, another the lawyer who will do anything to defend his faith, and the third is one of the best lawyers in America, who no longer believes.
John Poswall's new novel, The Altar Boys, a courtroom drama and legal thriller, set in Sacramento, has already been praised by three New York Times best-selling fiction writers.
John Lescroart calls it "Audacious, brilliant and endlessly entertaining" and says "this book sets the new gold standard for courtroom drama;" John Martell says it is a "page-turner and slam-dunk winner;" and Sheldon Siegel calls it a "poignant and timely tale about deceit and corruption in the Catholic Church."
Poswall says he likes to think of it as a serious, but fun, legal thriller that raises questions of religion and faith, law and the manipulation of the media, psychological states and so-called expert witnesses, and all played out against the backdrop of a father's love for his daughter.
To officially launch the book, his second, John Poswall holds the Premier Party and booksigning, Thursday, February 28th, between 6p.m. and 8p.m., "...or later if we haven't run out of wine. I'll be appearing at lots of other Borders thereafter but Thurs. Feb. 28th is the Big Party at Borders Books, Fair Oaks Blvd. Sacramento."
On Sunday March 9th, John Poswall will be at Borders in Folsom, for a book signing, where I will interview and video him - and you too - if you ask. Be there between 12 noon and 3p.m.
